About Lucy Chapman

With a degree in Culture, Media and Communication I have had experience in a range of fields including sales and marketing, graphic design and print, yoga and meditation, disability support and ESL. My passion for people and community led to becoming a committed and enthusiastic teacher for international students who wished to learn English before I retrained as a disability support worker in 2019 due to a change in life circumstance and starting a family. My other passion is wellbeing and my yoga journey continues daily always learning as well as guiding others in how to use yoga as a tool for life balance, self inquiry and relaxation. I am a qualified Pre and Postnatal Yoga Teacher as well as teaching a range of general yoga styles including chair yoga to clients with a disability. I have facilitated meditation workshops and endeavour to share more of these tools through collaboration, individual corporate and community classes and workshops. I believe there is a huge need for community and well being practices, especially after a continuing global pandemic where mental health has suffered and people crave connection and reconnection. I retrained as a Disability Support Worker in 2019 to be more available to my growing family and since having our second child in 2020 I have been caring for them full time due to Covid and relocating to Geelong last year (2021). I am excited to be looking to get back to work and be part of a flourishing and innovative team. I love what I do and I believe it shows in my quality of teaching, support and compassion I have for my colleagues, students and clients.
