About Lucy Crosswell

Lucy has a long-held interest in media strategy planning and implementation. Capabilities include media strategy and management, writing/editing, interview scheduling, press conferences, pre-and post-event publicity, and media relation building for clients. Her experience includes healthcare/medical, children/parent stories, arts and culture, lodging and hospitality, and she is also seasoned at promoting local events including charitable fundraisers, festivals, sporting events, regional shows, concerts, national conferences, community classes and expos. Lucy has devoted her public relations expertise to many nonprofits, including the Sandy Springs Mission, the American Heart Association’s Public Relations Advisory Council, and the Children’s Museum of Atlanta’s Marketing Board. She has served as Public Relations board advisor for Andee’s Army, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, and Swim Across America/Atlanta. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America/Ga Chapter and has been recognized for numerous Georgia awards, including the 2019 Award of Excellence in Media Relations for Nonprofit Organizations, a 2020 Award of Excellence for Most Effective PR Campaign on a Shoestring Budget. She most recently received three Phoenix Awards in 2023 for Best Media Relations Campaign/Nonprofits and Associations, Best Events/Observances, seven days or less; and Most Effective Campaign on a Shoestring Budget. She is also an IABC Award Winner for Special Events/External Media Placement.
