Arabic-speaking British video and multimedia journalist, based in London, formerly Beirut. I shoot, write and edit my own video packages. Equally comfortable in front of the camera after doing hundreds of live stand-ups for France 24 television on Lebanon and Syria. I also have long experience of writing for press and wires. I was based in Lebanon as a correspondent for nine years. As well as TV journalism, I wrote news and features for press including the Irish Times, Financial Times and Christian Science Monitor as well as Beirut publications such as Time Out Lebanon. In a previous stint at Reuters London, i edited news on the World Desk and undertook long (text) reporting assignments in Beirut and Cairo. Currently filming on the Canon C100 and the Sony PXW. I own my own kit. Editing - Avid and Final Cut. I speak fluent Arabic - with a degree and Masters in Arabic and Arabic Literature. Working knowledge of French. Hostile environment trained 2003 and 2016.
