Background
About Lucy Karabedian
I am a UC Merced alumni with a BS in Molecular and Cell Biology with hopes of pursuing a PhD in neuroscience with an emphasis in molecular biology. During my time at the UC I developed teaching skills within the stem and biological sciences field. As well as developing many wetlab techniques thanks to the Saha laboratory where I worked on several projects. I became a tutor for the California Teaching fellow Foundation an after-school program where I teach a group of 20 students K-12. Coming from a stem background I base my enrichment activities on the sciences. This led me to be able to teach higher education. I was on the teaching team as an Instructional learning assistant for Contemporary Biology an introductory biology course and the Molecular Biology course at UC Merced. Thanks to the various skills I learned during my undergrad I am currently a substitute teacher for EF academy and a research associate at Parexel. skills: teaching in stem, coding in R/ Rstudio, excel, lab basics, communication, teamwork
