About Lucy Murphy
Recent graduate of BSc Public Health Nutrition from TU Dublin. Currently working as a research assistant in the UCD Perinatal Research Centre located in the National Maternity Hospital Dublin. I work on a variety of research projects in the area of women’s health during pregnancy. I am currently the site coordinator for a regulated trial of a wearable fetal movement monitor over the third trimester of pregnancy. This is a Welcome LEAP funded project based in the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin. Other projects I am currently involved in include the PrePOP RCT investigating probiotic supplementation in a cohort of women at risk of preterm birth, IronMother which is an RCT drug trial comparing alternate vs daily iron supplementation for the treatment of IDA during pregnancy and I am also working on rolling out the FIGO Nutrition Checklist tool in the hospital which looks at nutrition intakes during pregnancy. I am highly motivated researcher with an interest in women’s health and pregnancy.
