I am a dedicated and efficient worker with excellent writing, public speaking, and communication skills. I thrive on creativity and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment. As an aspiring journalist with little-to-no broadcast program at my university, I am self-taught, working to get my first job in TV news by filming stories on my iPhone, and transforming into a multimedia journalist in Salt Lake City. There, I pitched daily stories, shooting and editing video under tight deadlines, absorbing information quickly and translating it into stories across various platforms. I’m appropriately fearless when it comes to meeting new people and asking them questions, allowing me to find unique and compelling stories within communities. After 3.5 years in the broadcast industry, I transferred my skills to marketing and public relations. At my current firm, I oversee various projects for clients, ranging from coordinating promotional videos to post on social media platforms, to creating a comprehensive PR plan for all Burt Brothers Tire & Service stores in Utah. I go the extra-mile, forming relationships with useful contacts which I have maintained in my transition to marketing and PR and consistently follow-up with. I have been on both ends of media events and interviews, which allows me to anticipate reporter requests, and in turn prepare the marketing client to respond in a way that positively highlights their business.
