About Lucy Pitt

Lucy Pitt is an arts-worker and movement-artist based in naarm (Melbourne, Australia). She has background in dance and physical theatre, as well as youth-led arts practice. She has a Bachelor of Creative Arts, having graduated from the Arts Academy, University of Ballarat in 2014 and has a Graduate Certificate in Arts and Cultural Management from Deakin University (2019). She is currently the General Manager of L2R and Treasurer of TILDE Trans and Gender Diverse Film Festival; and aerial and dance instructor at Risque Demeanour. Lucy has over 10 years experience working in dance, theatre and movement-based art forms. Her work has spanned a range of roles including: design, delivery and management of creative projects; senior management of organisational operations and finances; building and leading teams; strategic and business planning; fundraising and grant management; data analysis and evaluation; Board and financial governance; budget management and accounting; and movement-based performance and teaching. She has worked across a variety of roles for L2R, Western Edge Youth Arts, Arts Tasmania, Melbourne Fringe, The Social Research Centre, Museums Victoria, The Substation, Tasmanian Circus Festival, Falls Music and Arts Festival and Party In The Paddock. She is currently the General Manager at L2R leading the organisation's business and operations; grant management and fundraising; and strategic business and organisational planning; as well as the supporting the delivery of the organisation's creative projects and community engaged programming across Melbourne's Western suburbs. In 2025 during her tenure L2R won the Maribyrnong City Council Community Strengthening Award. Prior to L2R, Lucy was the General Manager of Western Edge Youth Arts where she played a key role in leading the organisation's operations, grant and funding capacity, financial and strategic growth. During her 3-year tenure the organisation successfully scaled staffing capacity and revenue; and was successful securing both Creative Victoria 4-year Creative Enterprises funding and Creative Australia 4-year organisational funding. Alongside her arts worker practice she maintains and active dance and creative practice, performing, instructing and choreographing for aerial apparatus. ​
