About Lucy Proctor

Final-year BSc (Hons) Sport Science and Management student at Nottingham Trent University, aspiring to build a career in sport event management and coordination. During my third year, I completed a placement with the Lawn Tennis Association as an Operations Assistant at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. In this role, I supported the Junior National Team and led operational shifts during tournaments and events, gaining hands-on experience in elite sport environments. Alongside my studies, I have been actively involved with Choose a Challenge, fundraising for the Meningitis Research Foundation. In my second year, I led a student fundraising team, organising events and completing the UK Three Peaks Challenge. I continued this work during my placement year, hosting further fundraising events. I also had the privilege of volunteering with the Athlete Services Team at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, supporting Lawn Bowls athletes. These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in time management, communication, adaptability, and leadership, which I am eager to apply in future roles within sport event management.
