Background
About Lucy Silvester
I am a chartered physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience working in trauma & orthopaedics and major trauma. My clinical specialty is the acute management and rehabilitation of complex musculoskeletal trauma. I have developed several national guidelines and undertake research on this topic. I was awarded an NIHR Doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship which I started in April 2023, studying at Coventry University. My research project is to develop and evaluate a rehabilitation programme for adults with complex fractures following traumatic injury. I strongly believe that rehabilitation, delivered at the right time and in the right way, can significantly improve people's quality of life and outcomes after injury and illness.#RehabMatters
