About Lucy Smith

This exciting role allows me to optimise the business processes across the Materials Processing Institute, working with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver new and existing company initiatives. I am also developing strategic opportunities for growth across the sectors that we already work in (the Foundation Industries) and new market diversification opportunities. I'm continuing to manage and drive the Material Processing Institute's ventures portfolio to enable the commercialisation of our own IP and to support spinouts and startups to scale-up on their commercialisation journeys. My raison d'être to deliver sustainable materials in a sustainable, circular world continues, as does my passion to support the younger generation, specifically those who have been underrepresented in the past, to thrive in the Foundation Industries.
