About Lucy Wallace

Dr. Wallace has a very personal commitment to caring for breast cancer patients, as both her mother and grandmother were affected by the disease. She believes “the future has never been brighter for breast cancer patients, and it is rewarding to be able to usher them through treatment and into survivorship.” Due to her own family history, she takes a special interest in counselling women who are at increased risk for developing breast cancer in the future, so they can make informed decisions about enhanced screenings or preventative surgery. Dr. Wallace has been practicing breast surgery exclusively since 2016. By using advanced surgical techniques, including nipple sparring and hidden scar procedures, Dr. Wallace prioritizes both oncologic and cosmetic outcomes. She believes in providing comprehensive and personalized treatment by partnering with each patient, along with members of the care team. Dr. Wallace has emerged as a leader on Baylor Scott and White’s flagship campus. She is the Medical Director for the Breast Cancer Research and Treatment Center at Baylor-Sammons Cancer Cetner. She currently serves as the Program Director for the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship, training the next generation of breast cancer surgeons. Dr Wallace has served on the Baylor Dallas Foundations Celebrating Women Committee, which raises funds for services benefiting North Texas Women affected by breast cancer. She has been voted a D Magazine Top Doctor by her peers and was featured in Modern Luxury Magazine’s 2023 Dynamic Women Spotlight and 2022 Influential Women in Medicine Spotlight. She has also appeared on numerous local and national media outlets helping to educate the community.
