About Lucy Wilkinson

I work for Abortion Support Network as their Senior Helpline Coordinator on a contractor basis, based in Spain. The helpline provides practical support and guidance to women and pregnant people seeking abortions across Europe, centering compassion and care. I previously worked for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in the Global Contact Centre as a Consular Officer. Before this, I worked for the Junta de Andalucía as an English Language Assistant and as a TEFL Teacher in Sevilla for 2 years. I am a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England. I have a range of post-qualifying experience and I have undertaken a range of continuing professional development courses to enhance my practice. I am particularly interested in trauma informed practice and contemporary ways of applying attachment theory. During my career I have also worked in the charity sector in volunteer development for National charities. I was also a National Management Trainee as part of the National Graduate Development Programme, completing two years at the London Borough of Redbridge. In my free time I practice Iyengar Yoga and I'm an avid reader. I love sea swimming, hiking, rummaging in charity shops and eating vegan food.
