About Lufuno Ratsiku

Lufuno is a vibrant professional with diverse skills in project management within the built environment space. He is a professionally registered construction project manager (Pr.CPM) with the South African Council for the Profession of Construction Project Management (SACPCMP) and a professional member of the Project Management South Africa (PMSA). Lufuno is a Member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa and a registered member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors together with the Association of Arbitrators in Southern Africa. Being a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Appreciation of complexity is part of his professional acumen. His capacity for establishing and running Project, Programme Management Offices (PMO's) is impeccable. His ability to navigate in complex environments and pitch solutions makes him a valuable team player both in corporate and voluntary organizations. He is a strategic individual with additional skills varying from policy development and strategic management. Due to voluntary participation in various professional bodies and forums, he is also well exposed to business development and corporate governance. Lufuno has been tested in leading complex teams and has proven to be results driven and goal orientated. He voluntarily participates as a member of the Black Management Forum and the Black Business Council amongst others. He is currently serving as a Board Member and a trustee of the second largest pension fund in South Africa, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund (EPPF). He plays an advisory role at a capacity of Employer Assessor at the Department of Labour-Compensation Fund at which he is appointed by the Minister in terms of the Act as part of the Advisory Arbitration Panel on adjudication of COIDA matters. Lufuno has presented research papers in leadership of construction cost management in various professional bodies' conferences and continues to participate in research on various issues of interest. Due to the desire for skills transfer and continuous learning, Lufuno is a part-time project management lecturer within the Tshwane University of Technology. In November 2022, Lufuno has been appointed by the Minister of Public Works as a Council Member of the SACPCMP and he subsequently got elected as the President of the Sixth Term Council. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Board Member at Johannesburg City Power.
