Background

About Luigi Ruffolo

I’m a Finance graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Royal University, with experience supporting financial and operational processes in the oil and gas industry. My role has evolved from administrative support into a broader focus on AFE coordination, financial tracking, and process improvement. I work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, accounting, and technical groups to ensure alignment and consistency across systems. I support the review and management of AFE data, helping maintain data integrity between platforms and ensuring budgets, ownership structures, and supporting details are accurately reflected. Through this work, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how financial information flows across systems and how discrepancies can impact reporting and decision-making. In addition to day-to-day coordination, I take a proactive approach to identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies within workflows. I contribute to improving processes through greater standardization, enhanced transparency, and more reliable tracking and reporting. I’m especially interested in financial analysis, investment strategy, and continuing to build my skill set in systems, data, and process optimization. Outside of work, I actively follow the markets and continue developing my understanding of investing.
