About Luis Arcos

Managing Director/Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager with a broad range of engineering experience including geotechnical, rock mechanics, hidrology, mining and environmental. These skills have allowed for an understanding of the big picture of the mining industry in Latin America. Luis' latest position is Mining leader at Stantec Chile. He has also been Managing Director at Geotechnos. Previously he was Managing Director of Golder Associates Chile operation and leader of the Mine Waste and Construction Divisions for Golder in Latin America. He has also led several large projects internationally and locally. Previous positions include Risk & Opportunity leader in South America, leader of the Global PMO for South America, and Project Manager for several large projects in the mining sector. He has also been involved in Ore Evaluation Services auditing and reviewing mineral resources and reserves for major mining companies such as Codelco, Anglo, BHP Billiton and VALE. He led multidisciplinary teams in development of Bankable Feasibility Studies and Detailed Engineering studies for major and junior mining companies.
