As an entrepreneur, I know that the road to success is often treacherous, filled with unexpected detours, roadblocks, and dead ends. There are many sleepless nights, plans that don't work out, funding that doesn't come through, and customers that never materialize. It can be so challenging to launch a business that it may makes you wonder why anyone's willingly set out on such a path. Yet despite all the uncertainty and hardships, every year, thousands of entrepreneurs embark on this journey determined to bring their vision to fruition and fill a need they see in society. They open brick-and-mortar businesses, launch tech startups, or bring a new product or service to the marketplace. In my journey as an entrepreneur, the one thing that I wish I had more of was a helping hand, advice from someone that had traveled down the road before, and could help me to better see the opportunities and avoid the pitfalls. I help other entrepreneurs to be more successful in their ventures by sharing my experiences and making useful recommendations. In a race the difference between the goal medal, the silver, and bronze medal is usually less than a second, likewise in business, the difference between success and failure may be subtle changes in our way of thinking or communicating, these subtle changes that can make a big difference in closing an important sale or getting a new investor.
