About Luis Cossio

I studied electrical engineering to be able to materialize ideas into solutions. I specialized in computer vision because I believe that several tasks cannot be solved for machines unless they understand their environment. In this sense, being able to provide robots with meaningful information about the world around them I think opens up a series of new innovative solutions in many fields. I’m very interested in working in sectors that traditionally lack high degrees of automation, due to the potential benefits that can be gained, from improved quality to efficiency and to reduce environmental impact. In this regard, I’m especially passionate about tasks related to automation and image analysis. I’ve worked in several projects related to acquiring data, training models and developing solutions using deep learning algorithms for different tasks, mainly in agriculture. I also have worked in scientific publications of multiple papers. Finally, I worked as a teacher on multiples roles, even as a college professor. I'm familiarized with Deep Learning/AI frameworks, such as Pytorch and Tensorflow. Similarly, I have experience with ROS2. I'm well suited to work on team and schedule projects.
