About Luis Divar

Luis Divar concentrates his practice on litigation (civil, commercial and criminal cases), arbitration (international and domestic), and Corporate Defense / GRC (Governance, risk, management and compliance). Throughout his practice, he has dealt with issues of particular complexity, in different jurisdictions with different regulatory schemes and partners in different countries, in matters such as financial law, banking, AML/regulatory affairs, contracts, debt collection, buying and selling companies, unfair competition, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and awards and arbitration proceedings, also having huge experience in White Collar Crime. He has intervened before all courts in Spain including Supreme Court in matters involving civil, commercial, and criminal law and before the Luxembourg Court in defense of the interests of the European Commission. He has also been involved in domestic and international arbitration before institutions such as the LCIA, ICC, He is author of several books, articles and blogs on civil/commercial and criminal procedure, international/domestic arbitration and legal compliance and regulatory matters. Regular speaker at various international conferences. Luis is also a lecturer on Litigation (Civil and Corporate) in several Master´s Programme helping new lawyers to sit at the Spanish Bar.
