I’m a software engineer who enjoys combining technology, business and storytelling skills, executive-level customer interaction, challenging creative pursuits. and seeing what comes out! I'm currently a Principal Program Manager at the OneDrive and SharePoint (ODSP) Engineering team at Microsoft. In this role I lead our Field Collaboration strategy within the Customer Engineering team In a previous role I've led the technical design of our offers for IoT, Blockchain, and others. I’ve also defined the offer strategies for managing Azure consumption and leveraging open-source technologies such as Python (which I love ). While I love this deep technical focus, I also have a strong business background. I've had the opportunity to discuss the value of technology with enterprise customers and policy-makers (including the President of Peru, my native country). I enjoy helping CxO-level leaders make the best of the technology trends that impact their business. I have a passion for team collaboration and productivity, having spent 13 years doing Exchange, Sharepoint and Office deployments, and leading my subsidiary's Office 365 enterprise sales business. This experience has taught me that technology is useless unless people can leverage its promise. I particularly enjoy presenting in front of customers to tell our story. I like using my storytelling skills through communication and 1:1 interactions with customers and audiences. I have presented at events around the globe, and am a frequent presenter at Microsoft’s Executive Briefing Center. I've recently published a hard science-fiction game and couple of books (with lots of astrophysics!). I've also recorded an electronic music album. I believe the best decisions are made when you balance data-driven analysis with creative gut-feeling; I am proud of my presentation and communication skills; and despite anything you may have read elsewhere, I am convinced that our best days as a society lie ahead of us.
