About Luis Flaquer

CEO of medium sized companies in need of transformation to boost profitability and win market share. I enjoy building a strategic and inspiring vision with exceptional teams, and afterwards deploy it segmented into multiple projects that will ultimately give results that will dazzle the very individuals who achieved them. I also enjoy- Managing or sponsoring projects of all kinds that contribute to transform a company (construction of a factory, tackling new markets, development of exports in a 100% national company, implementation of an ERP, digital transformation, …)- Being the one who takes difficult decisions when necessary- Exceeding the expected results. And finally, what I enjoy the most: building leadership and management teams made up of the best professionals on the market, where the quality of each person commands the admiration of others. I like to foster relationships within this team of respect and trust, where high standards and friendliness are possible because “smiling more does not make you less professional” and "no need to be sad to be serious". My journey has always taken place outside my country of origin, Spain. I became passionate about France, its beauty, its culture and its history. After my studies at ESADE in Barcelona and at HEC in Jouy-en-Josas, my professional career, very international, can be divided into 3 stages- Until the age of 30, in external audit at E&Y and internal audit at Alstom, where I became Deputy Director of Internal Audit of the Group- From 30 to 40 years old, I held various Financial Management positions, always at Alstom. In Brazil I was first Financial Director of one of Alstom's Divisions and then Financial Director (CFO) of the entire Group in the country. Back in France, I was successively Global Financial Director of two Alstom Businesses- From the age of 40, I have always held General Management positions, first at Alstom (in Paris and Istanbul) and then at Cofel. Today, I am Managing Director of Cofel, a company which has gradually become the leader in the bedding market in France, with more than €200 million in turnover, 950 employees, 4 factories and 100% French manufacturing.
