About Luis Mora

Professional with M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, BSc. in Forestry and Environmental Engineering and 29 years of experience, as a consulting, manager, supervisor and specialist engineer in oil, mining and chemical industries. My experience is focused in design, implantation and maintenance of HSE Systems under ISO 14001 and 45001. Additionally, I have large knowledge of environmental international regulations (USEPA and WB), OSHAS 18001 and diverse corporative HSE standards. Lead Auditor ISO 14001. Getting involved in multidisciplinary teams of Process Engineering, I accomplished the development of procedures, guidelines and standards that control the occurrence of environmental impacts and operational risk, saving costs and complying with the safety standards of the company. I have successfully developed environmental impact studies, risk assessments, baseline surveys, emergency response plans, waste management plans, environmental and safety audits, due diligence, site assessment, environmental restoration, both onshore and offshore environments. Many of these projects were carried out in sensitive ecosystems such as: mangroves, tropical rainforest, coastal marine ecosystems and important hydrographic watersheds. My experience also includes the management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams, specifically in the design and implementation of work plans oriented towards the achievement of common objectives, controlling quality, time and costs. I have developed negotiation process with environmental authorities and stakeholders to solve problems regarded with environmental fulfillment, remediation and closure of polluted sites
