About Luis Paz

I am currently exploring new opportunities as an Engineering Leader, Program Manager, or individual contributor in product development. Engineering leader with over 15 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, blending leadership and technical expertise in different roles in the technology and audio engineering landscape. At Xperi Inc.(2016 to present), as the VP of Product Support Engineering, I led global multi-functional engineering teams in the design and implementation of several initiatives (e.g, Machine Learning Tools, Cloud Services, Audio Quality, and Sales Engineering), as well as streamlining existing processes, while fostering a collaborative and practical work environment with internal teams and key industry partners. At DTS Inc.(2012 to 2016) and SRS Labs (2008 to 2012), I managed global engineering teams supporting large technology manufactures (e.g, HP, Samsung, LG, Logitech, Sony, Yamaha) on pre-sales, integration, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) tuning, and certification of codec and post-processing audio solutions. At SRS. Labs (2008 to 2012), I integrated advanced audio solutions in electronic devices for top Consumer Electronics brands, contributed to winning multi-year business contracts, collaborated with Product and R&D teams to improve core technologies, and developed new audio solutions. I cultivate a mindset of continuous learning and hands-on exploration through personal projects, including machine learning, audio app development, web development, and music production. For these, I use programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and JavaScript; frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, JUCE, NodeJS and React; and tools for audio/video editing, mixing and analysis. In a previous entrepreneurial endeavor, as owner and developer of QvO Audio, I designed and built an audio processor unit, which was recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine and utilized in a top-selling album by an Argentinean musician.
