Professionally trained FAA Certified Part 107, small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot. Experience in Windows Operating environment, DJI Pilot, DJI Terra, Google Earth Pro, QGIS, Emlid, Drone Deploy, Pix4d, DJI Mavic Enterprise and Multispectral, Matrice series, Phantom RTK series, Autel Enterprise. Focusing on mapping/ photogrammetry with a drone, using high accuracy systems such as LiDAR and GIS, GPS, RTK, PPK. 25 year Army Veteran bringing integrity, safety, professionalism and ingenuity to all my endeavors. Performance driven, expertise in Project and Logistics and Operations Management with demonstrated talent to execute within Regulatory constraints and Safety as priorities while acquiring, analyzing and enabling success. I have realized recently why I love being a Professional Drone Pilot. It is a culmination of all my skills and knowledge acquired from being a 25 year US Army veteran, along with the my interests in tech, gear, teamwork, and the outdoors. I use operational management skills from my days as senior level leadership during pre flight, during the flight and conduct after action reviews to identify, correct deficiencies and sustain or improve what went right. Making decisions for the best outcomes. Improvement and Solutions focused. Risk management is in my DNA after developing training and executing training and ops while maintaining high levels of safety. Regulatory compliance is familiar to me like the back of my hand, and the discipline to adhere to it engrained. Staying aware of the situation, situational awareness, essential while the bird is in the air. I started my military career as a mechanic, and with that experience I bring technical understanding to the table to find solutions to issues that may arise. I apply that daily to workflow analysis, problem solving, efficiency development and solutions based actions. I trained hundreds of Soldiers throughout my career, and I know how to impart knowledge or develop training. Team player. I am familiar with working in environments under construction, or out in the wild. I am used to donning PPE, and being situationally aware of the working environment. When I plan a drone mission, I do all the work in the front end to insure the flight goes as planned. When I get that drone in the air, I know I have done everything I could to get the data for the client. But, when there are unexpected variables, I stay calm and analyze the situation for the best solution. After the mission, I review to improve the outcome, or to eliminate the chance of those unexpected variables.
