About Luis Salas

I’m a Senior Contract Specialist and U.S. Air Force veteran with over a decade of experience driving mission-critical federal acquisitions across agencies like the FCC, NIEHS, VA, and USACE. I hold a FAC-C Level certification and manage cradle-to-grave procurement for IT systems, construction, and professional services with total contract values exceeding $400M. I specialize in strategic sourcing, FAR/DFARS compliance, and post-award contract administration, and I thrive on solving complex acquisition challenges. My background includes leading high- performance teams, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and delivering measurable cost savings—up to $500K in negotiated reductions. I’m passionate about empowering procurement teams, improving cycle time efficiency, and ensuring operational success through thoughtful, regulation-driven contracting practices.
