About Luisa Volpe

Currently serving the World Farmers Organisation, WFO, as Advocacy, Policy and Partnerships Practice Lead in the International Secretariat, based in Rome. For more than ten years, I have been leading the political engagement of the WFO in global processes, identifying those most impactful for the Organization, establishing effective and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and governments, according to WFO Strategic Framework. As a senior staff in the Office, I have closely supported the management of the Organization (Secretary General and Board) in the implementation of the WFO mandate, including performing direct supervision, training and mentoring of staff members as well as liaising with the WFO Governance structures and the broad membership for a successful functioning of the Organization. My background studies and the valuable experience I gained in IFAD, WHO, WFP, within the UN context and Overland, Gruppo Triumph, in the private sector, have equipped me with a significant knowledge of the international political scenario. I have moreover developed interpersonal communications, negotiations and influential skills that allow me to establish positive connections with key staff in partner Organizations, I am result-oriented professional, open to new learning opportunities and improvement. I have a Masters' degree in Communications and a University degree in Political Science - International Relations (Master level). I am able to act as a focal point for internal and external players. I am able to work steadily and efficiently individually and as a part of a team and to thrive in demanding environments, while continuously maintaining quality. I am capable to meet personal and group deadlines and to work well under pressure, also in multicultural environments and to constantly maintain high performance levels. I am a positive, enthusiastic, committed and reliable person.
