About Lukas Isaacson
The majority of my life has revolved around sports and culminated in playing five years of soccer in Division 1 athletics at St. Mary's College of California. Years of competing at a high level have fostered a strong set of values in me that I apply in my daily life. In the past few years, I have worked seasonally as a handyman/maintenance worker, learning the trades, and working to make the company more efficient through organizational moves and interpersonal relationships. While I wasn't working, I was thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2650 mile trail, from Mexico to Canada. In 2017, I hiked roughly 1400 miles, and in 2018, I returned to hike the trail in its entirety. Thru-hiking has reiterated the importance of a lot of the same values I picked up through sports, but highlighting perseverance, community, and work ethic. I also was a trail correspondent for a podcast called Backpacker Radio while I was on trail.
