Transitioned from System Administrator to Software Developer. Focusing on building my Software Development abilities, particularly in Java and Python. During my time as a Software Developer I've developed skills and an understanding of ReadyAPI, Red Hat OpenShift, Bitbucket, Elasticsearch and more. As a System Administrator, I am experienced in Azure, Active Directory, SCCM, SQL databases, and Virtual Machines. In my role, I maintained and troubleshooted RightFax servers hosted on virtual machines within Azure. As the System Administrator, I was also the first line of on-site tech support for the clients' users. I am proficient at troubleshooting issues within the Windows Operating System 10/11. I instituted great communication skills for end-users and the client to simplify the IT systems we used to support their business. I supervised and managed the JIRA board on the contract, ensuring tasks were being completed and delivered to the client. I served six years in the Ohio Army National Guard. During my service I specialized in satellite communication systems (SATCOM) and high-capacity line of sight communication systems. I was a Sergeant for over 2 years, where I team leaded a squad of IT Specialists. I was the first line supervisor to ensure battlefield communications for a battalion element were following the standard operating procedures. I established my communication skills in the Army from the high pace and team-oriented tasks that were vital to missions.
