About Lukas Walker

5th year mechanical engineering student at Tampere University. I have a strong understanding of logic based programming and robot programming. I am interested in creating and improving automation systems for all aspects of industry. I have participated in projects that involve the full design of automated systems. These included the design/selection of appropriate conveyors, feeders, robots, grippers and jigs. My background is in mechanical engineering, providing me with skills in CAD-modeling and basic stress analysis. I have a good understanding on topics such as thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and dynamics. I have completed a minor in software engineering and therefore am able to write code in both C++ and Python. Programming skills have been very necessary for handling different protocols and creating code in other software.I have gained experience working in various factories providing me with good insight on how things are manufactured. I have learnt about many different joining and subtracting manufacturing methods. I have gained a lot of hands on experience doing assembly and maintenance work. This experience has helped strengthen my understanding of subjects learnt at university.I am a native English and Finnish speaker due to having lived in both the UK and Finland. Working and communicating with different departments inside a company is very appealing as it allows me to learn more about the structure of the entire company. Feel free to get in touch.
