About Luke Andersen

Once upon a time I worked as a stop motion animator and artist for Will Vinton Studios. I had the chance to work on two television series:"Gary and Mike" and "The PJs". When those shows were no longer, I worked on a few commercial projects and even got to animate a sketch for Saturday Night Live. After a few years as an artist I decided to move to Las Vegas to be a stand up comic. That went OK too. I performed show all over Vegas and produced a few showcases. I toured with a show called "Hellbent 4 Humor" and was able to feature all over the country. I moved to Hawaii for a year or so and had not really intended to perform any comedy out there but ended up headlining a show in Ka'anapali for about 6 months. Eventually I ended up in LA and had the honor of performing at some of the iconic stand up venues including a fairly regular spot at the Comedy Store. Then for reasons we can discuss over drinks sometime I left La-la-land and returned home to the greater Portland Metropolitan Area. For a couple years hospitality (which had been my side job) became my main job. Until one day my brother talked me into entering a sports radio contest. The prize? Your own sports radio show! At first I wasn't interested but he convinced me and a few weeks later I had started my part time radio career. Two years later radio became my full time gig (although it doesn't take too much coaxing to get me to do a stand-up show). I am currently hosting a weekly sports radio show, The Sinner and the Saint on 1080 The FAN, and working in Radio and Digital Sales for Entercom Portland.
