I am an experienced health policy analyst, leading analyst teams in using quantitative and qualitative methods to improve the performance of federal government programs. My recent projects have included topics in the ACA marketplace and private health insurance, pediatric cancer, long-term care, and mental health. Prior reports included assessments of telemedicine, medical device approval, federal budget issues, school food, and nuclear material removal. In addition to my analytical work at GAO, I have led the drafting congressional testimony, prepared witnesses in advance of congressional hearings, and have briefed congressional staff. I have also worked as a congressional staffer and a private sector consultant on a wide range of issues including health care, transportation, budgeting, and environmental policy.
