Hi! My name is Luke Bagan and I am a Ph.D. student at The University of South Carolina studying Mechanical Engineering. While pursuing my Ph.D. in engineering, I am working as a graduate research assistant in conjunction with U of SC and the ONR involving artificial intelligence, autonomous surface vessels, machine learning, and computer vision. My research is one way in which I am diversifying my knowledge and professional experience to encompass more than mechanical engineering. I am a highly motivated individual looking to enrich myself and broaden my skillset in any way possible. Upon graduating in December 2025, i’ll be looking secure a job outside of the educational world. I can be sure that i’ll be able to positively impact any industry that I land in.
