About Luke Berglund

With six years of experience in healthcare, two of which have most recently been dedicated to earning the title of Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, I am fully prepared to step into the role of a practicing Physician Assistant and be an asset to any specialty or practice setting. With 13 different rotational experiences through this program at one of the leading teaching hospitals in the US, I have a broad clinical knowledge base and practiced clinical skills. Furthermore, through numerous clinical rotations have a have become adept at learning quickly and adapting to many contrasting professional teams and patient care settings. Before attending PA school, I worked for four years in emergency medicine in two distinctly different roles. Initially, I began my healthcare career working as an Emergency Medical Technician for a rural emergency service for two years in northern Minnesota. As a part of a small team, I gained experience effectively responding to medical emergencies in the field with limited resources. Our service area provided coverage for much of the Leech Lake Reservation which allowed me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of this Native American population as well as rural critical access healthcare. Next, I worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. As this is the regional trauma center, I acquired experience working as part of a large, multidisciplinary team in a fast pace environment while efficiently caring for critically ill patients. Froedtert hospital provided medical care for much of the city of Milwaukee, which allowed me to care for and broaden my understanding of a diverse patient population. This wealth of prior healthcare experience and exceptional clinical experience as a Physician Assistant student allows me to humbly approach the start of my career as a PA-C with the confidence and the skills that will enable me to be an effective team member committed to providing excellent patient care.
