Early on when we met each other at Al Maha Desert Resort both Suzanne and I set out to create a truly extraordinary safari company in Africa. Following many years of combined experience in the luxury safari industry we co-founded Vayeni. Since that day we have personally hosted hundreds of life changing safari journeys across southern and eastern Africa. We truly live by our intention of ‘Creating Escapes for the Soul’ something we adhere to with immense passion. With a strong emphasis on low footprint African safaris we work with our team to design safari journeys that do not miss out on the detail, yet also give back to local wildlife and communities. We arrange experiences across the finest wilderness areas of Africa partnering with hand-picked, truly exceptional camps, lodges and communities. We are profoundly mindful of the positive impact we are duty bound to make in these areas. Africa is in a race to conserve its incredible natural and cultural heritage and we never forget this when we create safari journeys. A little more on me: I am extremely proud of my roots in Zimbabwe, the country I grew up in. It is with a deep passion for this place that I have grown to appreciate all of Africa, a vastly rich and beautiful continent whose people and wildlife are inextricably bound with its source - a soulful energy that is so powerful here. I take great pleasure in my sense of pride and duty to promote it's diverse beauty and special people. I have had the opportunity to visit, live and work in many special places around the world gaining experience in all facets of hospitality and tourism. I believe that in this industry's highly competitive environment we should relentlessly pursue a desire to achieve and surpass the highest goals we set for ourselves. The best way we can do this is to help others involved also realise their own visions. Thus we continue to develop a powerful network of like minded doers and thinkers committed to the cause of sharing Africa's intensely pure and mysterious beauty.
