About Luke Childers

Time Manager- This skill has come to me ever since I have started sports. I have played sports throughout my whole life and what I have learned is time management is key. Sports came with a lot of long nights which meant staying on top of school and turning assignments on time. I learned to make a schedule and found time to complete assignments. This skill will help me in the work environment since I can work well with having a busy schedule.Hard Working- All throughout high school, I developed into being a hard worker. This was accomplished by taking harder classes and doing very well in them. These classes were advanced placement which meant they went into more detail then the regular core classes that everyone had to take. Through these classes, I understood that I needed to study harder and know the concepts inside and out. These classes taught me that sometimes when you do not understand a certain idea, that you might have work harder in order to do so. At the end of my high school career, these classes were the ones that made me stand apart from others.Driven- I want to be a successful person and that requires one to be driven or goal oriented. I always knew it would take good grades to get into a top academic school but I knew adding more activities to my resume would help. This is why during my summer break I would work and start creating relationships with people thus helping my overall brand. As a student at Indiana University, I hope to graduate as a finance major and I know these proven skills will allow me to receive the job I want. I believe these skills will help me be the best businessman I can be!
