About Luke Evans

Luke has developed a range of skills across diverse disciplines within the water resources space. Luke has significant experience in hydrologic / hydraulic assessment for both urban and rural catchments, erosion assessment and prevention, water sensitive urban design, water quality management and climate change impact assessment and mitigation. He has utilised these skills throughout Australia and internationally on a range of projects of various scales. He is currently focussed on undertaking Flood Studies and Floodplain Risk Management Studies to help local Councils to understand their flooding risks, and to work with Council and their communities in developing mutually beneficial strategies to mitigate these risks. Luke is passionate about the role that engineers have to play in improving the lives of communities in developing and middle income countries. He has employed and developed his skills in a number of these regions including Papua New Guinea, Tonga, The Solomon Islands, The Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. To further his skills in this field, Luke is currently completing a Masters in the provision of water and sanitation services to low and middle income communities.
