About Luke Foreman

With over 35 years of experience in the power, construction, manufacturing and mining industries, I am a passionate and qualified HSEQ Manager at De-Construct SA. De-Construct is a leading provider of demolition, asbestos, civil and environmental services. My mission is to lead and implement effective HSQE, compliance, risk management, HR, training and injury management strategies that ensure the well-being and performance of our employees and contractors and meet our ISO certification requirements for Safety, Quality and Environmental. Some of my recent initiatives include the introduction of the Frontline Leadership Program which is a 20 Module Frontline Leadership Training Program & Major Risk Standard information sessions that I produced electronically for all De-Construct Leaders and have also introduced a new HSEQ paperless software system and a employee training card system. In my previous roles, I have successfully prepared and delivered numerous training programs, introduced HSEQ software systems, led teams to achieve certifications in SQE ISO/AS Management Systems, Federal Safety Commission and the Safety Achiever Bonus Scheme and helped 3 companies meet system requirements for ISO SQE Independent Certification. I have also introduced new processes to manage team shifts via a risk matrix process and emergency control at the Olympic Dam BHP mining site. I received positive feedback from BHP for this initiative. I have also received multiple awards and recognitions for my proactive approach to HSEQ, reducing injury numbers and costs, meeting Workcover Safety Achiever Bonus Scheme Level 1 requirements, and recognised as Employee of the Year for a large construction/manufacturing/fabrication company. I have completed a Diploma of Business, Majoring in Management (Business Learning was Safety/Quality Systems), a Lead Auditor qualification in OHS Management Systems, and various certificates in asbestos removal, emergency response, and first aid. I consider myself an expert in construction/industrial safety and injury management, and I enjoy leading positive culture change and continuous improvement.
