About Luke Fujii

I have over 6 years of experience crafting and operating bespoke travel itineraries and experiences in Japan, with a strong focus on my hometown of Kyoto. My journey in tourism began in 2018 as a Trip Leader for Intrepid Travel, where I guided small groups along Japan’s Golden Route, receiving top ratings from happy customers and a nomination for Intrepid Travel Guide of the Year. I continued to develop my entrepreneurship, customer service, organization and leadership skills as a freelance tour guide based in Kyoto, and fostered strong relationships with boutique travel agencies and local vendors. My expertise expanded as I joined Remote Year to develop their platform in Japan by curating cultural experiences, including private audiences with Geisha and Kintsugi workshops, as well as arranging accommodations and workspaces for groups of up to 30 digital nomads. After receiving a promotion to Osaka City Manager, I oversaw the growth of Remote Year’s Japan team and supported an inclusive working environment by hiring a City Coordinator who worked directly under me. These roles honed my ability to anticipate customer needs, collaborate remotely with an international team, and deliver results under tight deadlines, skills that I carry into my current role as a Japan Travel Consultant at Club Travel.
