About Luke Hale

I joined the U.S Navy in December of 2016 as a 19 year old who wanted to conquer new adventures and push myself beyond my comfort zone. But in my time prior to joining the U.S Navy I had been living in the same town for my entire life. Fortunate was I to be blessed with the unique experience of absorbing the hard work ethic of my Father and Grandfather through years of observation and hands on experience. I worked on my family's farm for most of my childhood. My first paid job was alone dishwasher for a local restaurant as a 17 year old until my time to graduate from High school came. I then transitioned into an entry level job at a Powder Coating Plant(IVC) weighing raw materials. I had the mindset to learn all that I can to contribute and increase production times for the company. This allowed me to learn valuable skills and obtain increased responsibilities. By the end of my 6 months of employment there, I had become a valuable member who was - Certified to operate a forklift - Fill and run industrial mixers for raw materials - Take inventory of sensitive raw materials Following my employment at IVC I worked a summer job as an assembler for key parts of Grain Elevators. This only being a month-long as I had decided to enlist into the United States military with the U.S Navy. As a 19 year old kid I had decided I wanted to challenge myself to do things that were new to me. The perfect opportunity was opened when I volunteered to become a Sonar Technician aboard a U.S Navy Nuclear Submarine. Through my 5 years in the U.S Nuclear Submarine force I - Attended technical schools for Sonar Systems as well as computer systems - Qualified for junior and senior watchstanding positions aboard the USS Olympia SSN 717 through 2018 while completing a 7 month deployment in 2019 - Provided highly valuable experience and knowledge of systems and watchstanding fundamentals to the USS Ohio SSGN 726 while completing a 7 month deployment in 2020- Aided in the decommissioning of Nuclear submarines within the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 2021 In December of 2021 I was Honorably Discharged to pursue my career interests in the private sector, concluding with my employment at Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a Service Technician for Bulding Automations.
