About Luke Henry

I have one of the most diverse backgrounds that you might ever see. I started a landscaping business in high school to make extra money. I was heavily involved in music and theater in high school and college, traveling around the country. Little did I know that my landscaping business would flourish while I was earning my Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and by the time I graduated, I would have a formidable business that was generating a respectable income. After working two full time jobs for two years, something had to give, so I stepped down as a pharmacist to pursue entrepreneurship completely. While I am extremely passionate about landscaping, creating and maintaining outdoor spaces, I have loved learning business and leadership. I love talking with other people about their businesses, seeing their successes and challenges, and developing processes that improve the way we do things. My previous business experience, my love of real estate, and a desire to make my community a better place, lead me to co-found Main Street Reimagined in 2018. We started by quietly acquiring 8 buildings on a one block area of downtown Marion that was 70% vacant at the time, with the vision of making it the catalyst of redevelopment and the center of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. In order to kickstart the development, we also started and operate 4 different hospitality and service businesses. After surviving COVID, these businesses have created a regional draw to downtown Marion, and began the momentum that has been created with additional projects by us as well as many others who have joined the movement. Today, between Main Street Reimagined and Henry Development Group, we have nearly 20 buildings in the walkable downtown, most of which have been redeveloped or are in process of redevelopment to a curated mixture of office, retail, restaurant, and loft apartments. I enjoy getting to know all kinds of people, so I hope we can connect!
