About Luke Jacobs

A multidisciplinary specialist, with over five years of communications experience, currently looking to broaden my creative scopes. From working with nonprofits to multinational conglomerates, I have been able to flex my creative and problem solving muscles in the pursuit of more meaningful communication. What I Do: From film production, to website development, to corporate communications, I have worn many hats during my career. However, one thread that connects them all is narrative construction. For both internal and external audiences, approaching storytelling with consistency, clarity, and authenticity has been the foundation of my compositions. Through these works, I have refined my process of crafting, curating, and compositing important information. In short, I have worked to continually sharpen my narrative instincts - to appreciate what to share, and how to tell it. Major Accomplishments: While studying at the University of Minnesota Duluth, I became a member of a marketing task force for an on-campus department that founded a student blog. I was responsible for producing and incorporating weekly YouTube videos that engaged our topics further. I also produced, filmed, and edited an educational video used by the orientation program for the university. During my tenure at Story Front, I worked closely with the founders to develop a corollary website focused on the studio's documentary work. The website was crafted to catalog various non-profit programs, engage supporters, and showcase the documentaries that illustrated the benefits these programs brought. As a corporate communications associate for IMV Technologies, I contributed to an internally driven effort to build, codify, and launch a brand new ESG program for the entire company, from the ground up. These experiences have offered me a plethora of practical skills, however, the real value I see in these ventures comes from the lessons I am able to learn. I have been able to develop an eye for composition, the application of improvisation, and the undeniable necessity for good narratives. I am excited to see where this affinity for storytelling takes me, and what I can create next.
