About Luke Jessop

I’m an Analytics Engineer who moved into data after more than a decade working internationally in the arts. That experience taught me to approach problems creatively and adapt quickly, skills I now apply to building reliable data solutions. Currently at MindGap, I work alongside the analytics team, focusing on creating pipelines, tools, and workflows that make analysis more efficient and insightful. Alongside this, I’m also finishing my Bachelors degree in Biology through online study, which keeps me grounded in scientific thinking and research. I enjoy learning new technologies and pushing myself to improve. Recently, I’ve been working predominantly with Python, SQL, BigQuery, and Looker, developing ETL pipelines, and setting up automated workflows with GitHub Actions and implementing CI/CD. I also use Git regularly, Bash sometimes and have even started to dabble into software development practices to strengthen my engineering approach. Looking ahead, I’m especially interested in moving further into the cloud engineering space. I want to deepen my expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, and I’m motivated to apply my analytics and engineering skills alongside my creative background to solve data challenges at scale.
