About Luke Johnston

As a 33Kv and 66Kv HV Technician, I possess extensive experience in pre-assembly, annual servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for both onshore and offshore wind turbines from leading companies such as Siemens, Vestas, and GE, with capacities ranging from 4.0 to 14Mw. My certifications include Pfisterer cable termination and connections 3 & 4, Siprotec, FIT for transformers, CAT2A competency, and certification in 66kv and 33kv cables. I am dedicated to continually enhancing my skills to benefit my employer. My project portfolio includes notable projects such as Veja-Mate, Race Bank, Dudgeon, Walney Extension, Arkona, Hornsea 1, Seamade, Kreigers Flak, HKZ Holland, Burbo Bank, Changfang 1 and 2, Beatrice, High-wind, He-Dreith, Dogger Bank A, as well as various smaller projects across Europe. Additionally, I have worked in Canada as a technical field advisor on Wheatland and Garden Plains projects on the X4. Furthermore, I have achieved CTPN-N Electrically Skilled Nominated Person status for 6.7 and 8 Nacelles, gaining extensive knowledge in all aspects of nacelle work, including mechanical and electrical installations in towers, HSBM installation and testing, troubleshooting, and upgrades. I have collaborated with Quality Assurance teams on maintaining quality standards and have been responsible for implementing Environmental Improvement Plans (EIPs) and ensuring safe working practices.
