About Luke Leners

Program Assistant with the Community Clinical Care Team and Community Advancement at Fairview Health Services. I hold an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, with graduate minors in Biostatistics and Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration.My experience in healthcare is characterized by work in residential, inpatient, and emergency behavioral health and psychiatric services - totaling over hours of direct patient care across all settings. In recent years, I have become keenly involved in efforts aimed at addressing the incidence and burden of opioid overdose among community members throughout the greater Twin Cities Area - including working as a Substance Use Navigator and in support of Fairview’s naloxone education and distribution programs.My prior project/research experience includes longitudinal behavioral analysis within a residential population of young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), comparative analyses of surgical approaches in the treatment of intra-abdominal tumors, tabular and regression analyses of emergency department utilization trends by chief complaint, with a recent focus on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) initiation for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in the emergency setting.
