I believe creating inclusive and equitable education environments is essential to supporting student success. As a customer service professional in the Records and Registration Office at Grand Valley State University, I serve as a direct point of contact for students to assist with their questions, and advise them on services available at the University that support their academic, social, and emotional well-being. My greatest strengths are my capacity for empathy, perspective-taking, and passion for learning about the experiences of others. These skills, combined with over 15 years of customer service experience, have helped me develop a service philosophy based in kindness and respect, which I apply in my day-to-day personal and professional interactions. My areas of expertise include: adult education, community events organization, curriculum development, customer service, editing, higher education, mindfulness, project development, proofreading, research, resilience, student support, and writing. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue gaining new experiences and to continue growing, both in my professional and personal lives.
