About Luke Nelson

I am a 36 year old graduate from the University of Salford, having studied for and received a 'BA Music' degree. I have been involved in music all of my life, having been initially exposed to it in one of its more pure and potent forms - my local church. I was playing the drums in the band by the age of 12, and since then have also added piano, bass, acoustic guitar and vocals to my roster of skills. I have vast experience within the music field, performing in situations as diverse as annual christmas shows at my local church, to huge extravaganzas at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. On a personal scale, the apex of my experience came in 2013 when I reached the semi-final of 'Time2Shine'- an internationally televised gospel star search show that gave me lots of great exposure and confidence to pursue my music dreams in the industry. Since then I have performed at the main stage at ‘Band on the Wall’ and am currently holding down a residency there performing every month, also I have played at the amazing Factory International - so my performance portfolio is vast. I would love a job that would involve me working in any aspect of the music business, whether that be performing, songwriting, journalism or recording. Failing this, any job where I could facilitate my desire to create, would leave me equally satisfied. Thank you for taking the time to read!
