I am an experienced IT Operations Manager with over a decade in the field, specialising in transforming and optimising IT systems. My career is driven by a passion for delivering innovative, industry standard, scalable technology solutions that align with organisational goals and enhance user experiences. Since 2015, I have led a complete digital transformation at the Learning Academies Trust, modernising IT infrastructure and services across 18 primary schools in Plymouth. This has involved centralising IT operations, transitioning to a robust cloud-based environment with Microsoft 365 at the core, and implementing a cohesive IT strategy. By consolidating systems, modernising tools, and streamlining management, I’ve created a secure, scalable, and user-friendly ecosystem that supports a wide range of devices and platforms. Working closely with stakeholders, I have introduced a proactive approach to IT management, established a centralised helpdesk, modernised decades of underinvestment, and now manage an annual £1.2m budget to ensure continuous innovation and operation. My focus has always been on leveraging technology to transform education and business operations, creating efficient systems that empower both staff and students to thrive in a modern learning environment. I hold a number of professional certifications including CompTia Network+, Security+, and ITIL, and I'm registered as an MBCS and RITTech. I am currently studying for an MSc in Digital Technology and Solutions Specialist to further develop my skills and aiming to achieve CITP status.
