About Luke Pulaski

I recently earned a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Spanish from the University of Vermont (UVM). I am particularly proud to have graduated with the distinction of Patrick Leahy Honors College Scholar, which culminated four years of developing my research skills and academic writing abilities. Through this honors program, I researched, wrote, and defended my undergraduate thesis,"Immigration, Rents, and House Prices in American Metropolitan Areas", an econometric analysis of the effect of immigration on the U.S. housing market during the 2010s and early 2020s. During my time attending UVM, I was blessed with additional opportunities to display my capacity to conduct research, understand and apply economic models and principles, work proficiently with large datasets in platforms like Excel, Stata, Python, and R, and collaborate with teams of diverse individuals. Such roles include, but are not limited to, an undergraduate research assistantship with the UVM Department of Economics as well as two stints at the United States Department of Agriculture. These experiences have molded me into a confident quantitative and qualitative thinker, an effective communicator, and an otherwise well-rounded economist.
