Background
About Luke Robins
I am a filmmaker, video editor, and social media manager. Through filmmaking, I aim to tell human stories for societal change. My recent documentary short, “Sabor y Amor,” won an award at the Kaleidoscope Film Festival, played at festivals throughout the U.S. and in Mexico, and broadcasted in Vermont premiere Spring of 2024. My narrative short "Fishbowl" recently played at the 4 Star Theater in San Francisco as part of the "Dark Rainbow" segment of the Another Hole in the Head Festival. As the Communications Associate at Root & Rebound, an Oakland-based reentry and justice reform organization, I run their social media channels, create newsletters, and support a wide variety of Development and Communications projects. This job builds on my years at Addison County Restorative Justice, a reentry and restorative justice organization in Vermont. As an Impact Producer at Mosaic Films, I am working to maximize the real world impact of an inspiring upcoming five-part docuseries at the intersection of criminal justice and immigration.
