I'm the type of person who loves to try something new! Any challenge that comes my way I will happily take on head first. It's what I've always done, jumping into new industries, finding success, and gaining valuable experience. I always find ways to give back to the community by giving that extra effort. I have 2 years experience in managing an inventory specialist crew and have moved from entering the position as Area Manager to District Manager in Training within such a short timeframe in the middle of a pandemic. I was offered the initial position after spending a year abroad and quickly proved my strength, skills and abilities to the company. While abroad I remotely started Win Red Cedar with two partners. I took charge on setting up a website, a social media presence, marketing, and agreements with suppliers. It is a successful, seasonal business operating throughout the lower mainland. My time at Western Pacific Cedar Ind. began as a general labourer and within 6 months I was promoted to operations manager. This was based on my strong communication skills between the sales and production teams. I took the initiative to learn about the industry from scratch and helped a small, budding company grow incredibly over a 4 year span. I developed systems to vastly increase production, efficiency, and ultimately profits. Also taking charge of the sales team I added many valuable returning contractors and wholesalers; as well as increasing sales with the general public through products and services. I also took to the business into community to give back and worked with the Langley Association for Community Living to help young individuals get a step into the workforce. I left to take the opportunity to travel for a year.
