About Luke Sims

Decided by my passion for aerospace and the exciting upcoming space missions, I have operated a professional reorientiation from Finance and Adminstration to aerospace engineering. I did well as my group design project about designing a payload for a lunar mission has made me discover the world of system engineering for space systems. My high adaptability allows me to work as an aeronautical consultant engineer. My client being Airbus commercial I get to improve on these skills with the objective to shift back into the space sector. Growing up as a dual national French British I have pushed myself to move around to discover new culture and have a multicultural experience. Combining my interest in sustainability and passion for engineering I believe space technologies play a major role in solving contemporary issues. Living by JFK's words:" We choose to go to the Moon [.] and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; Key Achievements- Final round of my current company, SII, internal Challenge Innovation. Our project was about adapting the CubeSat standard to payloads for Lunar missions in the context of NASA’s CLPS program- Finished second, as a team of 6, in the Spaceport Cornwall 48-hours Hackathon organised by UKSEDS to design a CubeSat to help Cornwall achieve its carbon neutrality goals- Consistently managed to maintain a minimum of 1.5M€ worth of item per invoice to be able to have a monthly positive cash flow on a 43M€ project.
